  • Exciting News from the International Institute of Welding IIW 2025 Annual Assembly in Genova! We’re proud to share that our project partners from Disco2030 presented their latest research at the prestigious Commission IX session on "Behavior of Metals subject to Welding."

The presentation, titled “IX-2883-2025: Microstructure and mechanical properties of hybrid additively manufactured aluminum structures for hydrogen transportation applications”, was delivered by Florian Pixner, Florian Mayrhofer, Matheson Graham, Talha Cakmak, Michael Stodt, and Thomas Klein.

Their work explores cutting-edge additive manufacturing methods to develop advanced aluminum components tailored for hydrogen infrastructure — a key step in enabling the clean energy transition.

A huge congratulations to the team for representing Disco2030 and pushing the boundaries of innovation in sustainable materials engineering.
